We are looking for a reliable and proactive Project Manager to oversee operations in Kigali, Rwanda. You’ll be responsible for managing the shop and café, coordinating with our artisan network, maintaining strong communication with the Teakisi UK team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the business. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thinks on their feet, with solid retail experience, excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the shop and café that is located in Nyamirambo
- Supervise and support staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
- Ensure the café has all supplies needed to operate smoothly by liaising with relevant suppliers
- Coordinate stock and product flow between weavers/artisans and the shop
- Manage local and international email communications professionally and promptly
- Use Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.) to manage internal processes and planning
- Maintain excellent customer service standards and ensure a welcoming environment
- Identify and develop local and international market opportunities for our products
- Build and sustain relationships with local stakeholders, partners, and service providers
- Keep accurate financial and operational records, including simple budgeting
- Prepare weekly or monthly reports for the UK-based management team
- The role holder will report to the Operations Manager

What We’re Looking For
-
Fluency in verbal and written English is a must for this role. Proficiency in Kinyarwanda is required to support local operations, and knowledge of French would be an added advantage

Experience in retail, hospitality, or project management is desirable

Confident supervising a small team and managing day-to-day business operations

Able to communicate effectively via email and digital platforms lie social media, Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and others

Highly organised, trustworthy, and able to work independently

Comfortable with numbers, basic budgeting, and record keeping

Proactive in solving problems and bringing ideas to the table

Passionate about ethical trade and social impact
Working Hours
- Full-time, Monday to Saturday. Happy to negotiate working patern with susccessful candidate.
Salary
- Starting at RWF 200,000 gross per month.
